Deaux and Major (1987) argued that gender-related behaviors are impacted by perceivers expectation, situational cues, and the targets self-systems. In other words, the significant determinants of behavior include the situation, the target, and the perceiver. Also, the perceiver is described as the individual observing the behavior of the target. This individual has a predetermined expectation regarding the consequences of the target’s behavior. Hastie (1981) asserted that such expectations might be assumed to be organized based on schemata that influence the way experience is evaluated and interpreted.
